Lila Claghorn is an actress, singer and
an awesome dancer mover… her mom says she’s really good!
Born in NYC between two brothers, Lila split her time between performing and the ice hockey rink. She’s obsessed with high-fiving, her pet peeve is wet grass between her toes, her favorite restaurant is McDonalds, her biggest crush is her dad, and this year she’s been learning how to play the ukulele.
Lila grew up dancing on the stage of Lincoln Center for the New York City Ballet, singing for maraschino cherries at just about every bar-top in Manhattan… she was 5, it wasn’t weird… and playing ice hockey.
She continued her performance studies at the Taft School, then Trinity College where she received her Bachelor of Arts in both Theatre and Music. Lila’s range of talents were showcased while at Trinity where she was asked to sing the National Anthem before every Women’s Varsity Hockey game, just moments before she hit the ice.
Lila studied Alexander Technique and Shakespeare at Michael Howard Studios, Scene Study with Larry Singer, and worked professionally with Powerhouse Theater Festival, New York Stage and Film and the Williamstown Theatre Festival, where she also studied improv and audition technique.
Just before graduating from the William Esper Studios two-year conservatory program, where she studied Meisner, Meisner… and more Meisner, Lila was cast in the series premier of ABC’s Uncle Buck. Currently, Lila follows the work where it takes her, whether it is in LA, NYC, or Timbuktu.
